Khewra salt mine is cashing in on salt therapy, already a draw in the salt mines of eastern Europe and a synthetic clinic in Britain.
Clinics claim that asthma patients and sufferers of other respiratory illnesses benefit from inhaling antibacterial salt particles in a sterile environment, helping loosen mucus and clear the lung passages.

DERA GHAZI KHAN, March 18: A mob on Thursday torched the body of an outlawed outfit member who was allegedly shot dead by the police for killing a youth.
Reports said Abdullah Chandia, a member of the outlawed Sipah-i-Sahaba who was registered under the fourth schedule of the Punjab police, stabbed cloth trader Ghulam Rasool at his shop in Choti Zaireen and shot dead his son Naseem Abbas, the Shia community president of the area.

AFTER an arduous struggle of over a decade by committed health professionals Pakistan now has an organ transplant law. President Zardari signed the Human Organ and Tissue Transplantation Bill 2010 which had been adopted by the two houses of parliament earlier. The president also announced that he was willing his organs for transplantation.
WEDNESDAY’S targeted killing of three members of the Mohajir Qaumi Movement-Haqiqi in Karachi is not a good omen for a city already on the edge. The incident follows the recent killings of a cleric and the head of a proscribed sectarian outfit in separate incidents in the metropolis.
