At least two persons including a child were killed and eight others sustained injuries when the son of a Customs Inspector opened indiscriminate fire outside Rangers Headquarters here on Monday.
According to media reports, some people stopped Fakhar Zaman, son of Customs Inspector Zaman Baloch, from teasing the girls. On this Fakhar was provoked and opened indiscriminate fire at them, killing Faroque (38) and four-year-old child on the spot. Eight other persons were also injured.
The culprit also attacked a mobile police van. According to police sources, Fakhar Zaman has been arrested.

Surgery for cataracts can help older drivers see the road more clearly, and may get some former drivers behind the wheel again, new research shows.
The Swedish study found that after cataract surgery, fewer drivers had vision problems during both daytime and nighttime driving. Furthermore, one-third of those who had given up driving were able to get back on the road a few months after surgery.

Save the Children with financial assistance of The Embassy of the Kingdom of The Netherlands has launched the Balochistan Education Programme in a ceremony held here.
The programme worth 8.8 million Euros will provide access to quality basic education to more than 73,000 children over the next five years in three districts of Balochistan, namely Quetta, Mastung and Qila Abdullah.
