FBR closes down computerized system of Customs Pakistan
Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has closed down computerized system of Pakistan Customs (PC) and formal notification has been issued on this count.
The FBR had got conducted two audits through associate president of PC and projects under which containers valuing thousand of rupees were to be imported and exported were closed down.
According to official documents, former finance minister Shaukat Tareen had abolished old system on February 26 and issued orders for exchange of new system on emergency basis.
As per documents of ministry of finance, the used systems were imported from various countries so as to improve the custom clearance and cargo system.
FBR had installed web Internet system in KICT through contract in March, 2005 on emergency basis.
