Hollywood Movie Crook: It’s Good To Be Bad Awarded Adults Only Certificate, A scene showing a foreign actress topless in this Friday’s movie Crook: It’s Good To Be Bad has earned the film an ‘A’ (Adults Only) certificate from the Censor Board.

The scene comes at a point when an Australian blonde (played by Shella Allen) takes a drunk Emraan Hashmi to her apartment. When he wakes up in the morning, he finds himself in her bed. He sees a topless Shella putting on her clothes.
No body-suit was used while filming the scene and Shella was quite comfortable in going topless on camera, according to director Mohit Suri.
But the censor board did not take the topless scene lightly. Though Shella has her back to the camera in the scene, the board did not find the scene suitable for viewing by people under 18 years of age and proposed two options: delete the scene and get a ‘U/A’ certificate, or retain the scene but get the ‘A’ certificate.
Mahesh Bhatt, who is the film’s presenter, was adamant about retaining the topless scene even though Mohit Suri was willing to edit it out. They even had a heated discussion but Mahesh finally prevailed.
“Its okay. I was not ready to eliminate that scene. I see nothing wrong in it. There are three reasons why I was so possessive about the scene. One, it is relevant to the film. Two, it creates a dramatic impact. Three, the audience today largely comprises of the young generation who want certain sensationalism and not the so-called purists,” disclosed Bhatt.
Now, the topless scene is there in ‘Crook’ but the film will release with an ‘A’ certificate on October 8.
